I’ll never forget the devastating effect of the ashes of the Tungurahua volcano in Bayushig and the surrounding villages.
Therefore, when I am back home for Christmas every year, I bring my “Spanish” bag of sweets and hand them out to children in the area, as well as their families.
Parents, siblings, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends all play their part to get the kids in the neighbourhood to smile.

In Bayushig, a town in the Ecuadorian Andes, the Tungurahua volcano has been spewing ash since 2000.
Thanks to the collaboration of good people we dedicated a different Christmas full of sweets to the children of Bayushig.
Together with good friends we created a digital campaign unvolcandegolosinas.org to request help to make one more year a Christmas in Bayushig.
